Ahead of COP 26, there was a rush of businesses declaring their commitment to “net zero” emissions targets. But concerns were raised about how credible these targets were. Critics pointed out that many companies’ plans did not require them to change behaviour any time soon or be held accountable for realising them....and that actually some of their promises just weren’t good enough.
