Brittanee’s mom, Dawn Drexel, told her she couldn’t go because she didn’t know the girls Brittanee would be going with and was afraid something bad would happen. Britanee told her mom she was just staying with friends for the weekend instead, but really she went out to Myrtle Beach, and disappeared within 2 days. In June of 1977, eight year old Lori Lee Farmer, nine year old Michelle Heather Guse and ten year old Doris Denise Milner headed off to Camp Scott for a two week girl scout experience. Episode 196: The Senseless Murder of Lauren Giddings
Your Ash-centric episode this week is about the murder of Lauren Giddings. Lauren was 27 years old and had just graduated law school when she was brutally murdered and dismembered by her neighbor, Stephen McDaniel. Stephen McDaniel had been stalking Lauren for quite some time, breaking into her house, moving things around and plotting her murder. There were a few suspects in the beginning but police were able to narrow it down to Stephen after his strange behaviour when he heard a body had been discovered.
