#495: [Right Now at AWS] Episode 13 - Low Code / No Code Solutions
Accelerating the pace of intelligent automation adoption and new product development without adding new devs is possible with Low Code / No Code solutions. With Low Code / No Code, you can gain development time in multiple ways. One example is reducing your business’s tactical dependence on IT and enabling business users to drive their own digital transformation with drag-and-drop interfaces that abstract the codebase. Meanwhile, a large-scale implementation includes using a software platform to assemble and deploy solutions with minimal or no need for additional code. In this episode, Katie speaks with Madhu Raman, AWS Worldwide Head of Intelligent Automation, to learn about current Low Code / No Code implementations and future possibilities. #491: [INTRODUCING] The New Amazon Inspector
We know it is an important and challenging security best practice to proactively identify software vulnerabilities and unintended network accessibility in our environments so that critical findings can be remediated quickly. In this episode Nicki finds out from three experts, Rick Anthony (General Manager), Kashish Wadhwa (Inspector Product Manager), and Sravan Rengarajan (ECR Product Manager) how the new Amazon Inspector has been rearchitected to make it only a few clicks to deploy and manage a vulnerability management solution that continually scans your Amazon EC2 instances and container images residing in Amazon ECR to find vulnerabilities in near real-time. They also discuss how easy it is to operationalize and automate the findings to reduce the mean time to remediate critical vulnerabilities. #490: How Amazon Ads Run Machine Learning at Scale
Amazon Ads operates its ad serving infrastructure at massive scale, handling hundreds of millions of ad requests per second (trillions of ads per day) within a latency budget of 120 milliseconds. They use machine learning to predict relevant ads to show shoppers, predict whether shoppers will click or purchase, and allocate and price an ad. In this episode, Simon talks with Kun Liu, Director of Machine Learning at Amazon Ads, about how his team uses machine learning running on AWS to score thousands of ads per request within a 20ms window at over 100K transactions per second, all across hundreds of models that each required different hardware and software optimizations.
